Labneh @ Em Nazih
Em Sharif (mother of Sharif) is a very pretty woman, her look is very expensive and her house is home to the finest accessories and food. Em Nazih is very modest, her look is very natural if not poor and she serves you delicious Labneh and Zaatar from the Saj (like here). They are both in Ashrafieh, the first is a restaurant and the second is a cute café in the beautiful Saifi Urban Gardens where you can even learn Arabic (here). I visited Em Nazih recently, together with the charming Chantal from Le Blog de Chanty (here) who patiently taught me how to use Instagram (finally!). We loved the atmosphere, the Saj man’oushe, the fried eggs, but most of all the traditional basket hanging on the tree that I of course had to post on Instagram
(search for meandbeirut).

How charming. The food sounds fantastic. We have relatives there so will check this out. I will need to pay you a referral fee for these blogs. Wonderful and magical Lebanon.
Hey thank you, you’re very welcome
It’s a really nice place, a “hidden treasure” in the heart of Beirut!
You forgot to mention they have 3000 LL Almaza and 5000 LL argile, which is unheard of for Beirut!
haha, you’re so right!
and the coffee costs 1500 LL or so, unbelievable!
i am definitely going to try this place soon!
Will do
